Since transitioning into executive search and consulting in 2013, Michael has built a reputation as a strategic partner to both organizations and professionals—trusted for his relationship-driven approach, industry insight, and proven ability to deliver results.
Michael’s strength lies in forging long-term partnerships that go beyond placement. He is deeply committed to helping businesses grow stronger through leadership alignment, team development, and strategic consulting—and to helping professionals discover roles that reflect their skills, values, and aspirations.
Before launching Hatteras, Michael enjoyed a successful career in the financial services industry. His background includes managing multimillion-dollar hedge funds, leading operations for major financial institutions like Prudential Financial and Truist Bank and designing growth-focused asset management strategies. This experience shaped his analytical mindset, client-focused approach, and passion for performance—all of which he brings to his work in recruiting and business consulting today.
Michael is a proud graduate of the University of Tennessee, where he earned his Bachelor’s in Business Administration and Management. A loyal Tennessee Volunteer, he is equally devoted to his community, having served on the boards of several charitable organizations.
Now based in the beautiful mountains of Western North Carolina, Michael enjoys life in Hendersonville with his twin daughters, Alexandra and Rachel.
